Return to the Library: Research Field Trip
Want to engage your students explicitly in library research again after the initial workshop or review earlier in the quarter? Give them time to return for independent research.

Activity Brief Description: Present options for research activities and provide time for student to carry them out. Students are asked to submit a brief summary of their accomplishments at the end of class.
Course: PWR 1 & 2
Activity Length & Schedule: 40-60 minutes; mid- to late quarter.
Activity Goals: Through this activity, students will
- Assess their research and writing progress and process
- Apply research skills gained earlier, such as finding and evaluating sources, and formulating/revising research questions
- Determine actionable next steps for project.
