Video Screening and Small Group Discussion

Main content start

One useful model for asynchronous work is having students make analytic connections between the readings and course concepts that we might have done in large group discussions, using the asynchronous activity as a way of bringing students to online discussions at a later stage of their thinking.

Activity title: Video screening and small group discussion

Author: Kevin DiPirro

Course: PWR 2

Activity length: 30 minutes

Activity details:  This activity asks students to watch a video, meet in a research group outside of class time to analyze it, post on a forum thread on Canvas about the small group discussion, and then continue the discussion during the real-time class meeting.

See detailed student-facing instructions here.
